E3 08 - Bleh Edition

July 18th, 2008

This has by far been the most bland and unexciting E3 in quite a while. Although there’s been some few cool looking titles, nothing really stands out as being absolutely devastatingly awesome. Even Resident Evil 5, a game that I would donate my heart to play (Have to think about that one, hmm), isn’t really blowing me away in any way, at least not in that E3 way.

Maybe its a bi-product of me finally growing up, possibly linked to my steadily continuing lack of giddiness when most new high profile titles are released. All I know is that I can’t mention one game this year that really sparked my hype meter, its all just a bit too slightly above average.

I’m too spoiled after the last year of games I guess :(

Shit happens…

June 27th, 2008

Without going into details, then I’ll just say that my dad collapsed last Sunday and has been at the hospital since Sunday afternoon. I’ve been absolutely sick with worry the last couple of days, but he’s been recovering extremely fast the last couple of days. On Sunday he was numb in most of the right side of his body and had some extreme spasms, but already the next day he was able to move his hand, then entire arm arm, foot and leg, and yesterday he was sitting in a chair. So although there hasn’t been a definite diagnosis yet on whats exactly wrong with him, then I’m gonna stay optimistic from what I’ve seen.

For a while I worried that we’d lost him, but I guess this is just one of life’s ways of saying that you need to cherish the time you got together.

Really sad, I’m a huge George Carlin fan and he will definitely be remembered and missed.
